i posted a comment in reply to an article in june and stated a sheffield solicitor had said diouf was already a done deal which was correct obviously, same guy has said the takeover hold up is due to bates wanting the cash refund for policing costs after winning the court case but other side claim they would have been left with the bill if the case had failed, makes more sense than other reasons put forward but not sure of the dates involved, anybody know?

I find it hard to believe.
The refund should and probably already was partly factored into the accounts, depending on how strong a case the Leeds legal thought it was

There wont be a rebate as the police don't have the cash, and an appeal still may take place. Much more likely is that future bills will be reduced pro-rata until the 'rebate' has been paid back.

I can't see it myself, a whole business deal being held up for the like of that?? - could be wrong though

Tell me why Would he try and get a few more million out the club and risk blowing a sum (I don't know we call it 40m) for sake of a few more million?
So he is going try and get (I don't know we call it) 3-4m more and blow 40m if they say no?
That tells me he really does not want to se at all if that's the hold up.
