Aquilani and Insua

Aquilani is controlling our attack, while Insua is giving us that width that we have lacked.

Thanks for loaning them out Roy!

typical first comment by a wum.
yeah both look good going forward, its like having 2 new signings really.
Also means we have options at left back if u include aurelio, robinson, insua, and johnson if need be.

I really hope we don't sign a Left-back, We have Aurelio (when fit, is class), Insua (who has looked good so far) and Robinson (Still young, but a more than capable back-up)

And to Aquilani, we'd be mad to sell him, he looks class.

I'm finding it hard to see where Gerrard will fit into all of this now. Obviously rotation will be a key thing next season, I just hope that everyone is kept happy and plays well!

It's difficult isn't it?
We'll find out soon enough though, but I doubt many, if any more signings will be coming in.

Roy ended up losing his job over stupid decisions on who to loan out, Aqua, Insua and who he brought in Konch and Poulsen.

Ok in recent posts I have said I think Aquilani will go as I thought he's a bit lightweight and would be a passenger. Hands up based on today it seems I was wrong, he was MOM. Insua I think is a great player and I have been on threads defending him stating he was good defensively ( check out our defensive record when he played) and he provides a good amount of assists. That was exactly what he did today.

Why are people judging players on 45 minutes of a friendly against a side ranked 144 in the world?

Aquilani was outstanding, Insua was very good, but against that standard of opposition in preseason it means absolutely nothing.

I remember when we signed Voronin, he was dynamite in preseason against a load of donkey teams.

It meant nothing then, it means nothing now.

Aquilani has no long term future at Liverpool and wants to play in Italy.

Insua might have a future, but it's still very much up in the air, with strong rumours that we are about to sign Aly Cissokho (might be false), and Aurelio & Robinson on the books.
