Just watching sky sports la liga round up. The commentator said pep is in New York with his family fulfilling his dream and improving his english, something he's always wanted to do. Now I'm not saying he's doing this to become the united manager but surely it would make him more appealing to united if he did know english very well (not that it was poor previously anyway).
Pep would be a very good option IMO, although discovering the fountain of youth for fergie will always remain top choice for me :D
thoughts?
Pep as future manager?

Anyone think all Chelsea's signings this summer were ordered by Pep?

From an outside point of view I'd say Mourinho will get the job, failing that Moyes.
Pep already had an approach from Chelsea, and they'll drive a truckload of money to his house to make it happen

Maybe I am being naive, but Pep doesn't strike me as someone who is motivated by money. The fact that he walked away from Barca to take a break suggests to me that he can look beyond money. I could be wrong though.

You might be right fella, and I hope for the good of football you are. Having said that like Dreamy said - their signings are setting them up for tika taka football.
I think Mourinho would suit you better anyway

I actually have a sneaky suspicion that there may be an agreement in place the Jose will take over when SAF leaves. He is the one manager in world football (at least that I know of) that is so confident that he will not be at all fazed at taking over from SAF. And I am absolutely certain that he wants the job at OT more than any other. His ego is so big that it demands he take over from such a legend I think it could be a good move all round really. Let him come in for 5 years or whatever and oversee the post-SAF era, then look elsewhere if he is looking for a new challenge. replacing Jose is no easy task, but there will be less pressure than trying to replace a legend like SAF.

Barca would be successful with the team they have at the moment with Kermit the Frog as their manager to be honest.
I'd like Pep at United though. Although I think we'll end up with Moyes.
