Simply, who has the best 'starting 11' defence, defensive midfield, attacking midfield and strikers?
For me (possibly biased):
Defence - Chelsea
D. Midfield - City
A. Midfield - Utd
Strikers - City (Tevez & Aguero just shade RVP & Rooney, tough call though.)
Sorry Arsenal!
Not sure how to multiboard either...
Best in particular areas?

They've got a quality forward line of Ba, Cissé and Ben Arfa as well. In many ways, it shouldn't have been much of a surprise they finished so high up the table, really. I don't know what scouts Pardew is using, but they seem to be doing a damn fine job of it.

Goal - Newcastle.
Def - City.
DM - City.
AM - Chelsea if they all work out, fun to watch either way.
ST - Man U, if RVP and Rooney can play together, which I have doubts about.

For me the Attack is an open one if were talking 2 then until we know just how RVP and Rooney will play together I would call it even
However if were going off 4 attackers and including Balo and Dzeko I would say City just shave it because they give us more options than United or Chelsea.

OP, you put A. Midfield - Utd ? You're WUMing them for sure.
Midfield - and creativity - was the Utd's worst area (tactically) last season, included just oldies and one-dimensional ones, most fans are still demanding to strengthen, even with Kagawa in, which is unproven and far from world-class.
Chelsea has the best potential AM & wingers (and perhaps midfields in general) considering individuals but time will tell if they can gel, along with Lampart/Mikel
Currently City still have the best midfield, based on the performance last season and early this. Nasri + Silva and Yaya frequently surging up really dominate and create a lot.
