... to sign a bloody player.
Club finds player it wants
Club offers players club x amount of money for player
Club then offers player x amount of money and whatever bonuses, player asks for more, club accepts?!?
Player passes medical and is now your player.
Manchester City and Liverpool fans welcome
How hard can it be...

I haven't seen him gripe just offer an opinion that is nit the same as your own.

With respect, you don't know what my opinion is! I like Aggers as a poster and have stuck up for him on occasions but - he knows that this particular hobby horse needs a rest!

Johnsonsbaby, I'm not so sure had Kenny been allowed to stay that top 4 would have been achieved. Post-Xmas, the team went into free fall, I think we were the second or third worst team in the league. Kenny would h.ave been given precious little money to spend, so although I admire your optimism, I cannot agree. Sorry, friend. jimmyTheRed

Aggers, you surprise me, you really do. Welcome to the Brendan Rogers show, where money certainly doesn't talk. BR must be a football agent's nightmare. On reflection I'm not surprised there's no signings reported. Could it be he is going to use the youths, hopefully? We've all been calling for it. LFC have publicly distanced themselves
---------------------
It would be nice if he does give the youth team players a chance JTR, but they were nowhere to be seen on Saturday. As far as BR goes he can have as long as he likes, I rate him as a manager/ But like Kemlyn, I didn't want Rafa to go and nor Kenny, neither sacking was necessary IMO.
I have the patience but when you can see things going wrong and mistakes being repeated it's very difficult.

Jimmy - If Dalglish was still manager top 4 finish would be a target this year, that's all I was saying about that really. I don't know if would be achieved either but it would certainly be the target. Rodgers hasn't got that as his target this year most likely because it's felt it's not achievable under him in his first year, new systems etc.
I believe if we're not aiming high enough, there's an excuse waiting to be used if and when we fail to reach a respectable finish.

Me neither. I would have loved Rafa back instead of BR.
As an older fan I remember the glorious 70's and 80's so for me my patience has really been tested

I just watched Chelsea and felt guilty enjoying it as Mata and Hazard playing is exciting, I also fell guilty that I enjoy watching Newcastle as they are great to watch going forward...!!
It is pathetic that as a Liverpool fan I actually enjoy watching us less than some other teams!!!
In about 3 years the only exciting player we have signed is Suarez..
Our transfer policy SUCKS!!! The players we sign are far from exciting or entertaining considering we pay the same price for them as some of the most exciting players in the league..
We sign CM's every summer but no flair players or goal-scorers this has been going on for years!!!
FSG can tell us all we are going to get the club back blah blah blah!!! Complete BULL!! Outside our own fan base Liverpool are a DULL - BORING - NON Entertaining team!!! FACT!!! The next generation of kids are going to be going about with City tops on not Liverpool ones unless we actually spend money on quality and get a better scouting network and actually show some business sense in the transfer market the iconic Liverpool brand that is going to get us out the mire will be so tarnished that we will never be back!!!
Harsh words but so true and these new owners are making us WORSE on the pitch not BETTER..
Criticize Kenny for the signings but it was the boards "young british talent" philosophy that resulted in the signings in the first place!!!
WHAT A MESS !!!!!
And I am not a glory hunter wanting Liverpool to be the next City or Chelsea but truth be told the players we sign and have been signing for years now are so bad to watch for the first time in about 20 years I actually dread a Liverpool game because it can be that bad..!! I was dreading the season starting this season because I totally expect the worst and I know I am going to be right!!
This is not about being patient after one game it is about being patient after 1.5 seasons plus one game of ownership...!!!

It's nice to see other fans who are not completely taken in by FSG's charm and PR offensive. A few weeks ago I thought the The FSG Borg had invaded.
It's no bad thing that expectations have been lowered somewhat, which will help relieve the pressur on Rodgers. He needs our patience, but I completely agree with Kemlyn's point that it sticks in the teeth when the owners are championing this , given some of their own knee jerk decisions.
What I find irksome is the way some fans repeat the tabloid manta of spending over £100m on players. FSG haven't spent £100m in real terms. It's nowhere near that figure, when others factors are accounted for.
BR and the players have to receive our support. The owners, well, they still have a lot to prove and a lot to do. Backing their new man and thus giving him the best possible platform to take us forward by backing him in the transfer market, should be their starting point. We need a striker, and the assorted billionaires and millionaires, who bought the club at a bargain price, can surely afford it.
Some fans just seem to want to doff their caps whatever FSG do, because they bought us. I would prefer to see some stability in terms of management and for their actions to match their rhetoric. Their stated goal was to improve the team and turn us into winners. My hope that this is still applicable.
They aren't angels and their not devils. Keep a critical eye on what they do and scrutinise everything. They own our football club, so along with backing the team it's the least we can do.

Just get used to it, we're mid table mediocrity and will be for the foreseeable future.

A club the size of Liverpool? You are joking?
Grahame Souness tells the story about when he was manager at Lpool pre Fergie days) and the LFC chairman once told him that 'if that lot down the road ever get their act together we are in trouble' Souey says he never said United by name but he knew who he meant.
When LFC get their act together you will be back.

Buying Carroll wasn't a mistake. Spending 35 million on him was a huge mistake. John Henry apparently claims that he linked the Carroll price to the Torres price. If that's true then how come Kenny's getting slated for saddling us with a striker who we can't offload because no-one will pay anywhere near the extortionate price that we paid for him? If we'd paid a sensible price for AC we could have bought him and 1 or 2 other players and we could have easily offloaded him this summer for a reasonable price if BR thinks that thats the way to go.
Seems to me that FSG messed up big time on that one.
