Surprised there isn't one up already so thought I'd go ahead and do one.
1st of 5 ODIs, at Cardiff and another battle for No. 1.
Cook's captaincy has thrived this year with three whitewashes over Pakistan, West Indies and Australia. Ian Bell will be looking to continue his form in the openers spot and Bopara will hope to make an impact on his return.
South Africa will want to reproduce their dominance over England but now in the ODI format under new captain AB de Villiers.
GAME ON !

I'd pick Prior again for ODI's, but not yet, let him continue playing well in the Test format.
But, meanwhile, get rid of this Kieswetter, what people see in him is beyond me. Bairstow can keep wicket, and bat better, so can Butler... Even Steven Davies is a better batsman than Kieswetter, until he was shipped off for no reason.
Bairstow is better in terms of he can play the better innings and be more effective.
Butler will score when required lower down, finshing is England's weakest point they cannot rely on Morgan. But, Woakes has been selected.
Davies, nobody knows what he did wrong to be dropped the way he was dropped. He was so good at the top of the order, but I wouldn't select him because he's not suited as a lower order batsman, me thinks.

I wonder if Davies would have bothered to come out of the closet if he knew he was going to be dropped

I'm waiting for Giles Clarke, the ECB chairman to come out of the closet...
