Valdes reminds me of Barthez. He can look absolutely brilliant one minute, and look a complete clown the next.

Would Valdes struggle in the PL?

valdes is more a sweeper. It must be hard for valdes as usually he never really sees much of the ball or has to save many shots.

Also, Benzema is awful.

Was shocking at the Euros, goes missing in all of Madrid' big games, all El Classico's....ridiculously overrated.

Higuain should be Madrid's first choice ST or they should come up with a way of playing Ronaldo more centrally like Messi does for barca

At first he would. Similar to De Gea. And did Reina not struggle at first? Could be wrong. Difference is, Valdes doesn't have much scope left for improvement.

I think the Barthez comparison makes a lot of sense.

If I was a defender he'd definitely make me feel nervous and a bit less optimistic, put it that way.

I dont rate him at all. Never have, never will. Some people think he is better than Casillas

Valdes is garbage, the way Barca play, you rarely get to test him and when you do, he is at best mediocre.

Whether he has played for them for a decade is irrelevant. Mascherano and Pique look like Nesta and Cannavaro in defence for them too

Valdes is very average. If he played for anyother team bar Barca, he will be exposed.

Why do people assume De Gea wants to go to Barca?
Not every Spaniard has that dream especially if they are playing for Manchester United 'regularly'.
