If someone is libelled by another person and can't afford to take the case to the highest court, they usually give up. Does that mean they admit the libelous claim to be the truth or just admit they can't afford to fight the case.
Without the Armstrong case actually going to court we will probably never know all the facts.

However there are rumours that he did fail a number of drugs tests, but they were somehow covered up and people paid to lie.
Conversely there are rumoured that say the witnesses, team mates etc, have been paid to give evidence.
What is needed is a fair hearing by an independent body, with no links to the sport or any drug enforcement agency. I'm sure if this happened the real truth would emerge.
If that happened and LA still refused to carry on the fight, THEN IMO you could say he has admitted guilt.

The whole think is a joke. Several riders, all of whom have admitted to doping, have been told they will be let off scot free if they say Armstrong doped. Yeah, that sounds really fair and objevtive. Not only that but USADA wants him stripped of his titles without having released the evidence yet. USADA are judge ,jury and executioner so I cannot believe what thay are saying. This is the sort of thing i expect to happen in Russia or China and it cannot be taken seriously. Not a single failed test either. If he get a fair hearing by the UCI and is found guilty then I will believe it but what we have so far amounts to a kangaroo court.

Look I'd be surprised If any top athlete hasn't dabbled....

Ben Johnson is about three metres behind the guys these days and when like me you've seen the results of peds you have to "Really admire" the current crop their progress eating their potatoes, whey and salads these days!!!!!

There are few people i admire more than Lance.....Given a 30% chance of survival....basically dead man walking he beats the disease and goes on to win the Tour de France all those times!! Brilliant regardless of "Diet"...

He's also made millions for charity and helped transform lives...

Us system is different to your loser pays system...That's why big corporations get away with murder because the little guy can't afford to right wrongs..

Totally agree.

For this legend to now have some jobsworth bod on his back is an absoloute disgrace.

Don't forget half the peloton was cheating and still couldn't win. Doping doesn't guarantee wins. Also don't forget young lance was winning triathlons and beating older guys earlier and even now he wins loads of competitions. The guy is just amazing athlete and others are simply jealous or bitter.
