The supporters that support clubs from the continent, will be supporting another team in a couple of years time. They are not real supporters, they are just glory hunters. I expect you only started suporting Chelsea when Abram man turned up. I doubt you even knew where Chelsea was.
Having worked in several countries in all parts of the globe, I can assure you that Spurs have a very large fan base outside of this country, and are certainly better supported globally than Chelsea

I've lived over half my life abroad, and I can recall people from back then having a vague recollection of an English club with a nickname 'the chiken' or something like that, but they would not even know which city they were from.

I concur having lived in Brazil now for the last 7 years in my opinion known clubs are:
Chelsea
Man United
Arsenal
Liverpool
Man City
In that order. This is from talking with friends and counting shirts.
I havent even seen a Spurs shirt for sale here.
