Benayoun is a lovely guy who, like Alonso and Babel, left the club in the right manner and has nothing but good things to say about it.

Tello played the other night for Barca and apparently had a pretty good game after he couldn't be convinced to leave on loan and this Dempsey deal is doing my head in. Also Yossi is lovely but I never want to see him in a Liverpool strip again!

It was going to be Tello if we got a deal agreed.
It wasn't happening so we got Assaidi very quickly. Which is why there was no press speculation over it.
