This Smit Patel looks good too. He performed pretty well throughout the tournament when I expected him to fail. A number of times he came to the crease in difficult situations and performed. Good keeper too.

And, lastly I'm not trying to WUM here, but I'm being serious.
I heard Ian Chappell the idiots of idiots say that Harmeet Singh, the Indian U-19 spinner is the second best spinner in the world behind England's Swann. Now, first off whatever, Chappelli has smoked, please let me have some... Then, please someone agree with me when I say that this guy shares the same view my backside shares when it is sat on the toliet.
I mean seriously?! I rate him for his bowling performances and the manner in which he won the game against Pakistan. But, second best spinner in the world behind Swann?! Someone pass the bud because I'm taking another drag!

Well done India.
The challenge now is getting these lads into the national team.

Welldone boyz. Chand is certainly India's future. At one point it looked they will lose but Chand has held on his own and found an able ally in Smit Patel. Excellent win.
I will say a good day for India. Seniors won by an innings.

Guys Chapel is expressing his opinion and he is entitled to it. Harmeet was the best spinner of this world cup and Chapel saw his talent. Yeah may be a little overboard in saying he is curently best behind sawnn.
But I like that.
Any way our boyz won in australia and not on flat track where they are invincible. Great win and a great world cup. Congratulations to the team and fans.

Ashwin on current form might have something to say who is the current best spinner?

kash long way to go for ashwin. He is just a new student for test cricket. Im happy that he is picking so many wickets at home, and hopefully learn how to adapt outside subcontinent. But he aint the best spinner yet. Tbh he is just 25, and most of the gd spinners, ie ajmal and swann are in their 30s, reached their prime very late. He will have his time after he plays more matches.

Just the point I was going to make Viru. Look at Rashid at Yorkshire.
I remember him as a teenage leg-spinner and thought he was amazing.
He is now 24, having completely list his way, is only just getting his form.
Hugely underestimated the ability to bring youngsters through to the professional environment.
A lot depends on the County or League system..
