Referee

Think he was ok, really. Didn't do any major mistakes. The linesman may have been suspect, though.

One thing that has impressed my with the Championship is how the game is allowed to flow,i can honestly say that i have enjoyed the 3 games i have seen,this as been helped by what may be deemed lenient reffereeing,but for me it is good reffereeing,i thought that the refferee yesterday had a very good game,i can only remember one decision that i thought he did get wrong,he gave us a foul on Peds by the Leciester full back,who in my oppinion (directly in front of me) had won the ball due to Peds being to slow,he played the ball first before bringing down Peds,,but that is being picky i suppose,,yep he was a very good ref i thought.

It's strange that you have posted this on the City board as it was clearly evident, yesterday, that some of them thought he (the referee) was rubbish.

To be fair to the ref, it's not his fault that he was lumped with two incompetent linesmen.

I actually thought the man in the middle himself did a decent job - some will argue that he should've sent Murphy off but I can understand why he didn't.

Other than that there were no really contentious decisions. For a ref that's a sign of a job well done I suppose.

The offside was Nugent not Vardy just Harsh and KS was not obstructed by a player trying to get out the way.

Ref's and lino's get it all the time no one comments on the mistakes players make because its always got to be someone else s fault

I hope I didn't come across as 'snappy'-Pro. Upon reflection it appeared a bit rude (I should save that for one or two others).

The linos got the brunt of Pearsons frustrations but I also thought Murphy should have been sent off for that foul on Vardy just outside the box.

Would have been his second yellow.
