Scraping the barrel

So, we refuse to pay £6m for Jordan rhodes, wickham has been vetoed, Ricky lambert is now being used as a smokescreen and it looks like we might get Luke Moore.

If there is anyone left in any doubt as to why kean and venkys are despised, here it is. £4.5m spent, at least that recouped with no doubt more to leave. This will be another window where the owners make a profit and attempt to appease the fans with the threat of making a decent signing. There's no intention of investing money, they are selling anything that moves.

Make no mistake, we're very, very lucky to have 7 points.

Don't be fooled, stay away.

Simple answer, yes. Unless you plan on incredible luck and no more injuries for the next 43 games.

I'm not so sure about your first statement there Rb. Some of our more ignorant fans gave The Walkers grief regardless of our top 10 finishes. Though multiple signings of £5m plus were scarse they moved for the right players in Savage, Benni Mc, Santa, Bellamy, Bentley etc.

Kean and Venkys got rid of experienced players such as Nelsen, Emo, Sally and Diouf and replaced them with Anderson, Ribiero, Petrovic et al - with agents fees higher than transfer fees.

Then consider the profits on Jones and Samba!

This years policy - oh now we want people in their mid 30's...

All this with Kean telling us our squad is better than our 10th placed Premier League finish!

I was talking to a chap in the pub last night and he was saying how great things are in the championship, its Keans level, you should buy a season ticket, 7 points out of 9, blah, blah, blah.
I pointed out to him Keans record, and how every so often by laws of average he will go on a small run of gaining points, just like last season with Man United + Liverpool, then in a couple of matches normal service will resume.
Have faith he said.
I simply replied we are 3 games in, not 3 games to go.
Silence. Ahh the silence.

We were fortunate to get all three points yesterday but then again, it's about time we had some luck. If we had two or three decisions in our favour last season we would still be in the Premier League. Not saying that the whole mess is not largely down to Kean's obvious ineptitude but luck is luck. Sometimes you get it and sometimes you do not.

I am happy with 7 out of 9 points but will reserve my judgement in its entirety until about 10 games in.

Please do not get me wrong here guys,my main concern is not the venkies or Kean but Blackburn Rovers,i dont go along with just let them take us to the depths of the lower divisions,,ok i do accept the sales of good players have lifted there coffers,i do accept that the parachute payments in the main will end up in there backsack, but i will support the team not Venkies or Kean,in 18mths/2yrs if we do not gain promotion the parachute payments will cease, then they will go, because attendances will dwindle the longer we stay in the Champs, but for me that is it i would like us to stay in the Champs at the very least, not go on a slide down the divisions and if that means sharing a platform for a while with the likes of Kean and his entourage then so be it,,i will cheer on the team,,DD i like all you say in your post and find it refreshing to read,we the lowly supporter cannot compete with the parachute payments and player sales,,that is why the Venkies are NOT listening to us,but when the money has gone so will the Venkies, you are either a Rovers till i die fan or you are letting your hatred win the day,and i can see a good reason for both attitudes, very sad affair to be honest.

Rb, i agree with much of what you say but don't think you are either RTID or not. Many of us have supported Rovers in lower divisions before and it isn't the relegation that keeps me away. For me, i refuse to pay money to Venkys and will only go to away games.

Pie, i have quite a few mates who have chosen to move from the Bb End, Walker stand to go for the cheapest seats possible either Darwen end or Riverside ,cant blame them to be honest,i go to quite a few away games and do enjoy the comaradery that goes with the away support,Pie we all handle this very differently, but we all have one thing in common and that is our support for our football club, every footy fan in the world would feel the way we do about what is happening at Ewood, but we are powerless,No doubt you was well aware of the feeling towards Allerdyce prior to the sale,,not good and again many of my mates were saying that they would not renew there tickets if Sam was manager next season, then we have a section of the fans hatred for K Andrews, not talking here of was he a good or was he a bad player, just that he wore the Rovers shirt, and for me that does mean i do not boo anyone wearing that shirt,i can point to three maybe four games last season we could have come away with either one or all three points this would have kept us in the prem,,i ill stop there because i hope you are getting my drift ,i am a fair minded person and i really do not see where all this Kean hatred started and why did it start?,,oh and i have seen us in Div 3 just, then Howard Kendalls managership till now so i do know what the lower leagues are like, just wish we could all pull together like we used to do,strangely though, i do see your point of view as well.

We are not powerless - we can withdraw our financial support for the current regime and ultimately it will be successful.

It may be painful to stay away but it will simply prolong the agony if you continue to give Venky's your hard-earned income.

The fans of BRFC are absolutely powerless at this point in time, sadly there are some who do not see this,,for the Venkies it is all about money and getting the cheapst available, buying time untill the parachute payments finish ,,at that point the fans will come into it again, but for now we the fans, see the cheapest football possible, why is this?,well its beause those parachute payments again will allow low prices to be offered to us,Kean isnt the problem here, not many managers would walk away from his salery,,its the Venkies who allow him to stand there,at this point in time gate reciepts would say put 2/3 mln in there pocket, forgive the pun but that is chicken feed to what there wage bill will be,everything is around there selling of players and the parachute payment,f it wasnt by now they would have appeased our demands by sacking Kean,we mean nothing even if the ground was empty they would carry on with there destruction of this club, and yes!!,we are powerless to do anything about it.for me its a case of when you shout Rover till i die do you really mean it ?.

It's certainly a distressing situation.

However, football remains a game and there are many people at home and abroad with greater problems.
