I've been one of his harshest critics on here, so I think it's only fair that I give him some praise when he's done well.
That was the best performance by far that I've seen him put in for us (although I did miss seven mths of last season being out of the country and missed seeing a fair few games).
He's set the bar for himself now and hopefully he can perform to that standard on a regular basis, as it seems he's not about to leave this window.
It's only one game, so the jury's still out, but there were signs there that I've never witnessed before.
Well done son for making me re-think on you!

I would prefer us to get rid of Essien and Meireles and get in a quality CM. We needed a quality CM last season

I think Oscar could do the job TBH, he takes the opposition on and drags them out of place and has a killer pass - just the sort of stuff I like watching CMs do!

Haven't really seen much of Oscar in a deep role. When he also played for Brazil he was played in an advanced role but came deeper to collect the ball like Hazard and Mata.
I want a quality midfielder as we could be losing Essien, Meireles and Lampard by the end of this season. Would be good to get a CM in whilst we have some of the old guard as they will help the new CM settle into the team
