Giroud and Drogba

Can anyone see the comparisons? I must say Giroud did fantastically well throughout the game to hold of the Stoke physical play. We finally have the physical presence upfront, since Ade left. The media are quick to say we missed RvP, but he is really poor in the air against strong defenders. Giroud really gave their 2 defenders a tough time.

Just a shame we don't have a proper winger who can whip one in. Gervinho takes the mick. Is there any need to take players on everytime? I've had enough of him already.

But my main point is that, can Giroud be like Drogba in terms of impact in the league? Both are incredibly powerful for starters.

Drogba started off worse in PL than Giroud tbf, but now is one of PL greatest ever strikers.

I think he can. And please, anyone that compares Giroud to Chamakh, shut up please. Nothing alike at all. Chamakh would never have the balls to attempt either of the chances Giroud had today.

We were always going to be in this mess. Neither Podloski or Giroud are exp PL players. So we really need to be patient before we judge them. I hope Wenger goes out and buys a quality winger. Someone like Valencia would be perfect. Not the most pleasing on the eye, but gets the job done. Giroud would be sensational if we have a good winger on our hands.

Oh and I must say Santi Cazorla is a real gem! Gibbs too had a great game.
