No fear anymore ???

I know its only the start of the season but it seems to me that the teams that are seen as favourites for indiviual fixtures like your Manchester clubs and the Chelsea's etc etc dont carry the same fear factor they used to.

Everton, albiet not a small club took it to Utd who were favourites and then despite losing, Fulham had a really good go at them too. Southampton did the same against City and Chelsea are rightly top of the table but only in thier last game have they looked comfortable which is weird because most would have had Newcastle down as thier hardest game of the three.

The big clubs will be fighting out the top prizes as per usual but i think slip ups to the weaker sides will be more common place this season.

Anyone else agree ??

I would be concerned if I were a Liverpool fan. A abject performance against West Brom, then that all action outing against the Champions.

City have outstanding quality, but take nothing away from the RS, they made City look....well average for 90% of the game

So did Southampton, who when onto lose to Wigan at home. I'm not trying to take anything away from Liverpool,it's just that City don't seem to be firing on all cylinders.

Or the RS will accuse you of being biased and bitter.....

I think its the classic of teams raising thier game against the big clubs but without that fear. Southamptons result against Wigan almost proves my point.
Hopefully it continues as it will make this season a cracker to watch and a pain to predict.

I know what you're saying but the first few games every team is going to try and get points on the table...

We are looking good tho, seems like we managed to carry on the momentum of last season, we've just got to keep it up for another 36 league games.

I don't think it is the mid table clubs improving, more that the top clubs have gotten weaker
