so we are close to signing another Portugese player, some no mark central defender from a club I've never heard of. And we've still got one other deal pending for a no mark Portugese attacking midfielder.
I don't remember seeing anything like this happening before, where a club signs so many players of the same nationality. Kean says that Portugal is an un-tapped market, but there must be somthing more to it.
From what I've seen so far, none of them look like they will make the grade except Nuno Gomes.
Anyone know what's happening here?

As usual the only people will be Kean and a pecking order of agents. No doubt chief pekker will be Anderson.
Shebby won't say anything. He is like the Duke of Edinburgh- every time he opens his mouth he offends somebody!

although we've been poor in the first 3 games, I look at it and think "if you add Martin Olsson and Best (or a new striker like Rhodes) to that team then we'd be ok". I think Martin Olsson could have a field day playing left wing in this league. Problem is I don't see us signing a decent striker or Olsson staying, so we could be in a bit of a mess once that bit of good luck runs out.

off subject, I loved how Kean made out that the subsitution of Rochina was inspired, he talked it up like he'd played a sublime pass into Pedersen!

Exactly my thoughts as well. Add a little bit of quality to the team we have on view and we would be very comfortable in this league.
Best, Nzonzi and Olsson, coupled with Givet, Robbo, Murphy and Etuhu all sounds very good at this level.

Seems odd that this chap only signed for his new club earlier in the summer. Agent fees spring to mind.

"We want Bradley out," is the chant from Swansea's fans as West Ham go 2-0 up. "You don't know what you're doing," then swiftly follows.
