Arsene Knows!

As we all know, it looks increasingly likely that Theo will be the next 'big' player to leave the club. But, will he really be that bigger loss? If he goes to City, he will be the new Adam Johnson, bench warming all season while on ridiculous wages!

Let's be honest, what has Theo done in his time at Arsenal that means he is worth £100k a week? I remember nothing of note, and I suspect Wenger feels the same! Yes he has pace and is a useful weapon when playing counter attacking football but his technical ability is certainly not the standard of most others in the squad! The Ox on the other hand will only get better with game time, and Wenger knows this which is why I think he is prepared to sell Theo!

It has nothing to do with the board 'making money' - this transfer anyway. That's because we stand to make £12m, barely any money earned at all from what we paid for him!

I just hope a replacement is brought in, maybe not an automatic starter, just someone to add to the squad! The timing of this is ridiculous but I think Wenger will have it under control and everything will be sorted in the competitive interests of the club!

I HOPE!

soon fergie will retire then you'll be in big trouble cos utd will never be the again and you'll have City and Chelsea dominating then your best players will soon jump ship cos they will move onto to achive bigger things, cos nothing lasts forever so injoy it now while u can.

I dont deny that - but this trend has occurred while arsenal have had their best manager ever. What will happen when he goes?

Too far down the line to worry about.

Really? I would say 5 years max and Wenger will be gone.

we will be lost without Wenger, but the thing is with the utd fans is your used to trophys every season where as us we aint so when your great manager retires you wont be able to win things year in year out then and you'll be mega gutted and you'll see the likes of City and Chelsea buying their trophys and you'll be stuck like us and there will be nothing you can do about it,it will happen sooner or later mark my words.

oh i dont deny that we wont be what we are now. WOuld be silly to think any different.

But with Arsenal - who would come next? Would they put with he board balancing the books? Will there be a few different faces in a few years? Where would that leave the club and the players?

All very hypothetical i know but Arsenal supporters should be as concerned as utd when thinking about life after their current manager.

the thing thats on our side is Arsene isnt as old and Alex so when Alex does retire Arsene will still have a few years left in him, there was a time when we were Succesful like you we used to be your main challengers every single season until the money men like Roman at Chelsea and now City as soon as they came our time at the top was over,we won our trophys fairly they had to spend 100m every summer to win theirs, they are the Rot of Football if u ask me.

Gawa

Arsenal have had to be strict with wages and transfers fees because of the new stadium but as that is nearly paid off expect things to change whether Wenger is there or not...

Utd on the otherhand have huge amounts of debt and the only thing keeping them competitive is Ferguson and when he goes Utd could be looking like they could struggle.

I have a feeling that wenger will get fed up and walk. He is only going to win the CL by fluke (Liverpool 05) so is he better walking away?

But i agree about city and Chelsea. The have bought their success no matter what anybody says. United and Arsenals wealth came about due to their success.

i dont think Wenger will walk away tbh with you cos he would have done it by now,Fergie will quit before Wenger cos i think his time at utd is coming to an end hes won everthing there is to win.
