I think we can probably forget Edwards, and I don't fully understand why Collins is even here. More-so Wiseman is being made into a CB as well know.

Personally I still have time for Foster, I really think he is an unsung hero keeping us in the division for 5 years, but who knows what KH wants.

Hope he wants a settled back four but not sure if KH would know first choice back four at this point even if everyone was fit. Bit of a concern given he's into his second season.

I appreciate all the team have got defensive responsibilities but we've got to start somewhere in making it more difficult for teams to score against us. 11 goals in 3 games is miles away from 'clean sheets are king'.
Hope for a clean sheet on Saturday just to prove me wrong!!

As an aside, I see it show's a few former Reds on there in Brian Howard, though I believe he's now fixed up at Pompey, Daniel Bogdanovic, David Preece and Disco Devaney. I'm sure there will be a few others on there as well.

The interview with Clarke Carlisle on the BBC is quite an interesting read, to see the offers he had, and refused, were offering 80-90% LESS than he was earning last season. Not much money floating around these days outside the top 4-5 in the Premier League.

In all seriousness, from looking at that list, Akos Buzsaky would be the pick of the bunch, exactly the type of player we need as would Somen Tchoyi.

Both are realisticish targets, might be worth a look.

I was thinking about Akos Buzsaky as well Gherkin, only 30 and should be affordable.

There are countless others that we could have a look at. As the season progresses they should become more affordable, as Clarke was saying that when he realised that the money he wanted wasn't there, then there isn't much alternative but to take what's on offer.

Only 30 = One last lazy payday before they pack it in, no ta. Young and hungry please.

30 isn't an age to worry about these days richie. Look at the players still plying their trade throughout the league's well into their 30's.

Besides, Buzsaky would bring nohow and experience of this league, and with him being on a freebie it won't work out to be as bad financially as you'd think. No transfer fee, the longer he's without a club the less he'd be inclined to ask for in wages (see Clarke Carlisle's article on the Beeb). Young and hungry I agree totally with you, but that would likely involve transfer/loan fee, wages and other fees on top.

But come tomorrow we'll see what KH has up his sleeve

I'm not sure if KH probably thinks he has enough players on the books as it is. Let's face it our injury list is the real problem and that being temporary then I can't see another permanent signing being a solution. I reckon he will chance it this Sat, use the international break to assess the injuries and then dip into the loan market if needed.

If we should sign an out of contract player, I hope we all bear in mind that having no pre-season training he'll be a month away from being available...

Unless we rush him and risk a hamstring injury....
