simply put, he will be placed amongst the very few to be paid top dollar in our current generation.
This is equal to when cesc and rvp would have been in amongst the highest paid in their generation. And also to vieira and henry as the highest paid players in their time.
you can probably now see the dip in quality in our team within the top players.

They would. Hazard is on around £200k a week, Torres is on more than that. Ashley Cole wants £180k a week. Its in a lot of papers. When you get multiple sources then its probably true.

Now whether its reported £150k is immaterial. The point is its much more than what he is demanding from Arsenal. As is quite clearly stated in the Independent.

So I can understand when we get players who want to go like Song/RVP/Nasri/Cesc. Arsene says his hands are tied and club can do nothing about it. Its different when a player is willing to stay on less money. Thats why Henry and Paddy were treated like royalty for years.

There is no excuse if you mess up the negotiation the way Arsenal have!

To be honest, I completely agree, but i also agree that no footballer deserves £100k a week apart from maybe Messi.

But the simple fact is thats the going rate for footballers regardless of their mediocrity.

So if you think about it Theo could go somewhere else earn a lot more money, play with better players and actually compete and win trophies.
