Evening all.
As we all know, the purse-strings at Pride Park are well and truly tied shut and probably share more resemblance to cable ties, slowly but surely getting tighter and tighter showing no room for maneuverability.
Given this, has anybody read the article on the BBC Sport website discussing with Clarke Carlisle the misery and anxiety of waiting for a club to call for your services when out of contract?
While it seems to me the article was purely a way for Clarke to advertise his availability (something of which I'd have happily had at Pride Park, but have now seen he has signed for York City), the article also highlighted a number of other players that are seeking new clubs.
The article has a list of "selected out of contract players" of which two seem very appealing: Ákos Buzsáky who at 30 still has a few years left in him, and Nigel Reo-Coker who at 28 is still relatively young. The only stumbling block I could see here, although less so with Buzsáky is wages.
A similar article was produced last season and linked to the PFA's entire list of unattached players. Are there any other players on the list you think could do something at Derby County?

View, they more than likely want long contracts or they're injury prone. It should be pay as you play these days, especially when you're out of contract.
