Daniel Levy is currently dividing opinions among spurs fans with his dealings in the transfer window. I have to be honest, I've always had faith in him as he's been able to get some great deals, both buying and selling players. But this summer has just been a shambles and he's making our club look like a joke. If the reports from Lyon are true, we made an offer for Lloris, which they accepted, and we have now reneged on the deal and are offering much less. Meanwhile I hear that Levy wants £14m for VdV, a player we got for £8m and in my opinion recouping the same amount would be a good deal given the 2 good years we've got out of him.
The thing is, clubs around Europe are probably starting to take notice of how this guy deals with transfers, and soon enough when Daniel Levy comes knocking with an offer for one of their players they're just gona tell him to fack off straight away.
I for one can't wait for the window to close, even if we don't sign anyone else now I'm just sick of these bullsht rumours and ridiculous stories about Levy's negotiations.
While I'm having a rant, I might as well mention the spurs ticket office - they re-issued my season ticket without telling me so the old one didn't work last Saturday. They then said that on Tuesday it would be sent out first class and still hasn't arrived, and I'm not going to be at home at all tomorrow so don't know how I'm going to get into the stadium for the Norwich match. Shambles!
Levy is a joke

Why is he dividing opinions? Not for the first time he leaves things as late as possible, leaving the manager with next to no chance of a good start to the season, and not even getting more money for it. He sacks a manager for finishing 4th in the league. He doesn't even allow the manager to make signings.
The bloke should allow footballing issues to be decided by footballing people. If he had let Modric go 4 weeks ago, you'd have a fit and fighting squad already.
If you miss out on the CL by 3 points, he can only have himself to blame.

Apart from the fact that Harry stupidly engineered his own sacking, I can't argue with much of this
Greatteams has also made some very good posts on here today that I've seen
Still, I am trying to keep the faith, and just hope and pray AVB doesn't become the fall guy for the way Levy operates (I'm not really complaining too much about it as I understand the 'why' I just don't want AVB to take the blame).
Moutinho and Lloris in tomorrow and I'll be ecstatic

After all what the hell is a suitable offer ???

and what is a bigger club ?
i can kind of see that argument. maybe it was modric's fault for not being specific enough about what the agreement was when it was made.
i still suspect though that the spirit of the agreement was probably understood by both parties and that levy did the dirty on it.
no proof atall, but that's what i reckon.
whilst i personally consider that bad practise, i dont dislike it as much as i do reaching an expressly defined agreement and then reneging on it, as has now been alleged twice this summer.

Levy is tighter than a Nuns <Growler>,and does wind me up the way he does his dealings.
But I do respect the way he runs the club.
