Frustrated Brendan ?

I bet Rodgers is about to blow his lid, i really do.

If rumours are correct he wanted Carroll, Spearing, Adam, Cole gone and was willing to let both Downing and Henderson go for the right fee.

But on permanent deals, generating him some funds to get players in.

Two have gone on loan, denying Brendan near £20m to play with, one is going to generate £4-5m and the one is use-less and not even wanted by sunday league sides.

It's really unfortunate for us, i would have liked to have seen Rodgers with a lot more to spend so he could have a proper crack at the whip.

I'm still hoping Brendan recieves a text from J. Henry saying you got an extra £25m to spend

It's clear you have no money to spend now. Sell to buy.

Like Spurs, you need another striker and if reports are to believed we're both in for Sturridge.

Funny how there was all that hoo-ha about Dempsey, and Fulham reporting you and he's off to Villa fort £7m. Surprised you have not bid that much if you wanted him so badly.

The last thing we want is another panic buy hours before the close of the window, like Carroll invariably was...

I look at the situation differently. Yes, BR may get a bit frustrated, but I think he is determined to live within his own budget. If he doesn't get whoever he is after then, so be it. Not the end of the world. We will never know what is going on behind closed doors; no doubt negotiations are on-going. Patience people, patience. jimmyTheRed

rogers stated yesterday we are ina state of repair financially, and the name and fees we are linked with are not going to happen this window. we are sell to buy. sturridge on loan is our only target it looks.

That is not the correct use of the word invariably. Sorry.

Jimmy

BR isn't "determined to stay within his budget", he bloodywell has to!

Your owners have been burnt before, BR will be given his transfer & wage budgets and will have to stick to them....sales/loans may change the picture, its a fluid thing but he will have been told his bottom line and will have to stick to it.....as most managers will.

'That is not the correct use of the word invariably. Sorry.'

In my defence I was in a rush, but actually:

'invariably
adverb: always, regularly, constantly, every time, inevitably, repeatedly, consistently, ever, continually, aye (Scot.), eternally, habitually, perpetually, without exception, customarily, unfailingly, on every occasion, unceasingly, twenty-four-seven (informal), day in, day out They almost invariably get it wrong.'

Carroll was a panic buy, 'always' has been

Invariably (adv.) - in every case or on every occasion.

There's also such a thing as context

Don't be such an anorak and picking at my nits.

I should have said 'like Carroll was' without the adverb.
