I agree it's a bit disappointing to be still waiting for a big marquee signing after all the rumours. Didyou watch the game against Club America on ESPN this morning?
A good first half from a City team comprising of a few academy players (including the boss's lad), along with SWP, Barry, Lescott, Hart, De Jong, Dzeko and Weiss and new boys Cliche and Savic. McGivern scored the first with SWP putting us 2-0 up by half time.
No Silva, but a few other regulars were brought on in the second half including YaYa, Alan Johnson, Richards, Boyata,Kolarov and Milner along with our acadamey striker Guidetti.
The changes unsurprisingly spoiled the rythm we had built up in the first half and the Mexicans got stronger having made only one change at half time.
We had a couple of chances and taylor that had come on for Hart in goal was forced to make two good saves in the second half.
All in all a steady performance and a satisfactory result but i cannot see any of the youngsters that played forcing their way into the first team next season.
