Dempsey Theory

You could say that Dempsey was just a smokescreen along with K.Jones. A plan B and C. I truely believe that Jones would've bit Lambo's hand off to come but he isn't good enough. Dempsey is 29 and is a decent player who had a great last season.

However Benteke is younger, big and powerfull which Bent needs. He's unknown and that makes him an exciting signing. Besides he really wants to play for us and Demspey said many times it's Pool or nobody.

Now Fulham are playing hardball and Liverpool won't even offer them the 7 million we did.

Lambo played a blinder on this as Benteke could be an absolute steal, He's described as a young Drogba!

Lambert is a very clever guy, he was never interested in Dempsey, it made Genk drop their demands if anything, thinking Villa were looking elsewhere.

This guy could be the player Balotelli should be.
