Evening Gooners. I've been out trying to enjoy a Friday night this evening but when I returned home I was disappointed but jardly suprised to see we hadn't signed the type of player I wanted, a DM.
We haven't gone backwards. But the lack of progression is starting to worry me, and I'm one of the most optimistic fans on here. The board have lost all trust, and though I still absolutely believe in Wenger he doesn't have much time to put things right.
Sometimes I look at the career of Theo Walcott and I see a microcosm of Arsenal. Unplayable on his day, exciting, and always hints at some great breakthrough, but is ultimately inconsistent, lacking in mental toughness, gumption and end product.
We really need our strikers to click ASAP, and a victory over Liverpool or a thumping of Southampton, and I must admit I am worried we have taken maybe one risk too many. Spurs contrary to poular belief, haven't really strenghtened, yet we didn't manage to take our opportunity to secure our top 4 space ahead of them or build a squad capable of challenging for anything else other than domestic cups. But until we drop out of the top 4 or it becomes 10 years trophyless, whereupon AW's position becomes untenable, I would urge my fellow gooners to be careful what they wish for.

I was thinking the same. The two strikers need to start scoring very soon. The fact that we will never spend beyond 12/15M for a player will always cripple us.
As for spurs, no they have not strengthened

Cereal - yes I was away for a while. I comment most often when the boards are full of pessimism or hysterics though, I just try my best to be optimistic and/or the voice of reason. And today is one of those days unfortunately.
