I cannot believe people are complaining about the new line up and players signed. I am one of the most bitter people on here and extremely pessimistic but after seeing who we just brought in I have been counting the seconds till 3pm today.
GK
Lloris, Gomes, Friedel, Cudicini
DEF
Kaboul, Vertonghen, Gallas, Caulker, Dawson, Naughton, Bae, Walker,
MID
Hudd, Parker, Lennon, Bale, Dembele, Sig, Sandro, Livermore, Bentley, Jenas
FWD
Defoe, Adebayor, Dempsey
On paper I would say this is the best window we have ever had.
In:
Vertonghen, 12m
Sigurdsson, 8m
Dembele, 15m
Dempsey, 6m
Lloris, 10m
Adebayor - 5m
56m Spent
Out: Rose(loan)
VdV, 10.3m
Modric, 33m
Kane (loan),
Bassong, 3m
Gio, UDC
Kranjcar 5.6m,
Corluka 5.5m
Nelsen. Free
Alnwick Free
Saha. Free
Khumalo Loan
Pienaar 4.5m
King. Retired
Roughly sold about 64m worth
We have made 8m profit from sales alone + I am certain that we have lowered wage budget also. So basically Levy still has his own wealth on top of 8m to maybe dip back into window in January to fill any voids.
Only negative I have seen in this window is that we didn't sign Moutinho and although he was our Modric replacement I agree with Levy if he was asking for a ridiculous wage. He would have wanted about 150,000 a week for lets face it coming from Portugal, a very hit and miss league. I would have been more annoyed if Levy crumbled and he ended up flopping. I do think we may go for Leandro though in January as the Brazil league finishes around December and think Levy will be able to sway Inter to selling him like he did with Sandro.
I cannot express enough what a great squad we have that can challenge in all competitions. Well done to Levy, I think he has proved me as well as a lot of others on here completely wrong.
COYS
I am ecstatic

Give Dembele a chance, he might do better then Modrat
BennyCool if we get CL next season you won't be complaining, AVB would have a lot of cash to play with to improve us a lot again
With the new training ground just being built for 45 million and the new stadium on the way, not spending anything is good for the club, I wouldn't be surprised if the clubs coffers are near to 100 million.

This Username is a lie
I agree with your Moutinho remarks however I feel our squad is weaker. Look at not only the number of transfers out compared to ones coming in but we still don't have a Modric replacement.
There seems to be a lot of talk about Modric replacement. He was a good player, but no way was he a world beater. If he was Spurs would have been cruising 3rd place last season, not in the end be struggling to get 4th. He went horribly missing in a lot of games last season, as he did in previous years.
Spurs will do fine even without the little rat.

AVB you're right I won't, but I don't think we will. I'll eat my words if we do. Until then i remain a sceptic.
Not happy with the club prioritising profits over success.

Benny , a little harsh - Not happy with the club prioritising profits over success.
We have went out with the old and in with the young. We are doing what the bigger clubs do and buy good young talent for the years to come which frees up space for the big signings. I like the fact we don't wreck our budget every season. Tottenham could not be run any better at the moment I think.

I don't know why you're so ecstatic. The face remains that spurs lost two of their best players and replaced them with two of Fulham's best players. Surely you can see the downgrade happening there?

Lloris is up to £12m with add ons. Just saying.

Best player no1. Didn't want to play for us anymore. Nothing you can do but get rid.
Best player no2. Only getting slower and fatter by the day.
Dembele is relatively young and one of the form players in the prem. Dempsey is hitting his peak right now.
