How about:
Valencia + Smalling = Mascherano + VDV
Valencia is a better winger than VDV on the right, so you improve your first team there. And whilst Smalling isn't as good as Mascherano he is a natural defender and a very good player and would work very well alongside Subotic

How about if I swap Dembele for Valencia and add in Cleverley as well, so:
Dembele + Cleverley + Smalling = Mascherano + VDV
(I won't keep bothering you after this )
