Over reacting

It's outrageous how much we're over reacting. Sure we should have signed a defensive mid on the final day, and yes probably a bit of right sided defensive cover but the fuss being made is ridiculous.

Van Persie has left, now there is no doubting his ability whatsoever, he is a genius who makes a goal out of anything and can create a chance with the flick of an ankle but we're talking as if he tucked away every single chance that came his way last season, which couldn't be more untrue. He missed countless chances which he made up for by scoring unbelieveable individual goals. Now put it this way, Giroud and Podolski will not score the ridiculous volleys and pearlers that RVP did but they are both clinical strikers and should realistically compensate by not trying to be too cute like van Persie did on times. I'm also confident they'll make more effort to get onto the end of crosses.

The next point I come to is Song, now he was not a defensive midfielder, he was simply a luxury. On times he would dribble out of the tightest of corners and unleash a ball on a plate for the strikers but for every one of these moments he would misplace a 5 yard pass and be too arrogant and bone idol to drag his fat gangster carcass after the opposition who were bearing down on our goal. We have Cazorla to do the pinpoint passes, and he will do them so much better than Song, everything he does has purpose, he is more of a creative threat than Song, Ramsey and Rosicky rolled into a strange ball. This is without even mentioning the return of Jack who will play alongside Arteta and boss any midfield.
