What they've said
Arsene Wenger
“There are still miles in my legs," he said ahead of this ¬afternoon’s clash with Liverpool at Anfield. In life it is like you are going on a mission and it does not cross my mind to finish."
¬“You work as long as you can."
“Yes, I have to rebuild – but to rebuild is exciting,"
“I would have preferred to have kept Van Persie,"
“There are not 100 players in the world who can score 30 goals in the Premier League.
“It was a fantastic goal. The quality of the finish was tremendous. It was a strange feeling for me... he had the wrong shirt on!"
Robert Pires
“I have seen Giroud playing in France and he has the qualities you need in England. He is strong and he has good touch. He can be like Van Persie in my opinion.
“Podolski is very mobile around the pitch and he is a Germany international with many caps. They will adapt.
“Arsenal’s other signing – Santi Cazorla – is someone I know well. I played with him at Villarreal for three years.
“He would have won many more caps for Spain but he is playing at the same time as ¬people like Xavi and Iniesta.
“He has adjusted to England very quickly. He will not have a ¬problem and the fans will love him.
“This is a ¬difficult time for ¬Arsene Wenger. He has lost ¬important players in the last year like Gael Clichy, Cesc ¬Fabregas, Robin van Persie and Alex Song.
“But he has lost players in the past and replaced them and I am sure he will do it again."

Don't agree with Giroud's 5 or Oxlades 7.
Oxlade - 6 (not good on the wing)
Giroud - 7 (great runs and got into the right position, but unlucky not to score.) Much better link up play than in previous games.

Far more clinical than us. Carzola looks class.
Your forgot to mention Diaby and Arteta. They were both brilliant.

Is that some sort of record for Arsenal - 3 clean sheets in a row?
posted on 2/9/12
It is indeed
I heard somewhere that we only kept 3 clean sheets in the league last season!
