What a season we have in front of us, not only the huge games, attendances, dare I say, battle for the play offs, but loads of sub plots involving our great club.
Namely the games V Blackburn Rovers, Leeds United, Birmingham City & a lesser extent Hull City.
Lets start with Blackburn,
Jordan Rhodes, Steve Kean,
I believe Jordan will get an overall good reception from the Town fans, Mr Kean however won’t, he will be as welcome as a p-eado at ToysRus at the John Smith Stadium.
Leeds United,
Games v Them are always interesting as we hate them, but they don’t see us as rivals or a threat, ( Imagine if Beckford comes ! )
This sub plot will increase as Mr Warnock is in charge & his right hand man is an old crowd favourite in Rocket Ronnie Jepson. Two great games to look forward to.
On their side of course they will do battle with their old manager in Simon Grayson.
Birmingham City
The Clark factor, a nice easy 6 points for Town, Clark refusing to talk to the media, sending Mac out to do his dirty work for him. ( Sorry Mirf ) !
Will Clark get a good reception ????? hmmmmmm I don’t know ! probably should do, although he did nowt for us, apart from make us very,very frustrated.
Hull City.
Steve Bruce.
What did he do wrong ?
He gave us the best team I have had the pleasure of watching over the last 12-15 years, he was a victim in the Rubery, Aire era , wasn’t he, he was shafted, all his players got sold & got sacked.
A great season ahead, I havn’t seen many teams who Town should be scared of, with a new striker, WOW we could have a truly great season.

Not bothered about Kean, Bruce or Clark.
I'll give Jordan a round of applause but none of the others will even enter my thoughts on match day. Kean just used the media to get what he wanted. Not the first or last who'll do it. Bruce, meh. And Clark will probably have topped himself by the time the bluenoses come to town.
Warnock is alright, did a good job here in a short time so no animosity to him at all.

Rhodes wanted away. in his eyes Town weren't 'big enough' for him..glad he's gone if that's how he felt.

he's a 5 yo in a sweet shop with a fiver burning a hole in his pocket....Hoyle owned the shop & sold him 2oz of humbuggers for 5 quid.

Warnock.for us, ACE. Now, couldn't care less, he had a chance for a return & baulked at the idea. he's 'one of them' now. Jepson, did a good job for us. no applause from me, but no animosity either.

Clark...Has it ever been disclosed why he was actually sacked on the spot by HOYLE ? 3 seasons at the top of league 1..but there was always that 'feeling' it wasn't to be. And the 1st indications at St Andrews are that he's just not up to the job.
He got lucky.
Hoyle made a mistake.
He won't be at Brum at the seasons end.
BUT !!!
His record against Grayson is superior.
We will have egg on our faces if Clarks Brum beat us in October.
Bruce.
Town played entertaining football under him. I liked him. He got shafted by management above him. What was he to do ? 'Double Agent' partnership of Rudebury & hotAire fixed him up.. Everyone reckons Bruce 'jumped ship' !!! Well what the 4 king 'ell did those two do

Brilliant idea for a thread!
I think the best sub-plot is definitely Leeds - our former hero in charge of them and their recently fired former manager in charge of us, great stuff!
I think Posh will be a bit tasty after the Playoff final the season before last, and Barnsley will be decent for me as I was devastated when they beat us in the Playoff semi's way back when and we haven't met since!

Peterborough, Leeds and brum are the games am looking forward to.
We'll smash brum, and peterborough (relegated by February) but I think we'll have a real game on our hands with the mighty shi-tes.
