Where do we go from here?

Sunday's performance against Arsenal was nothing short of abysmal.

No creativity. Defence looks very suspect - especially Reina. Plus the same old story as last season, no goalscorer.

Jamie Redknapp said prior to the match that Michael Owen is a possibility. Nay, he is the only possibility. It still baffles me why Rodgers would say he'd be a "nutcase" to let Andy Carroll go out on loan when he only has three strikers, yet a week later this happens and no replacement was brought in.

Even if we had signed Dempsey, he's not a centre forward.

Our defence so far this season has been very, very poor. Reina is prone to a mistake almost every match, in fact three of the goals we've conceded in the last week he's been badly at fault. Man City's first last weekend, Hearts' goal in midweek and Carzola's strike today.

No goals up front and shipping goals at the back is not the recipe that will get us anywhere near challenging for the top four.

Worrying times, to say the least.

We have to improve 10 fold to get in the top 10.

we need to give borini the chance to show us that he is the poacher that he's supposed to be. you can't poach when you play on the wing.

Next game:
................Reina
Johnson..Skrtel..Agger..Enrique
............Allen..Sahin
.............Shelvey
...Suarez....Borini...Sterling

^ that looks like the sensible thing to do..

BR has to teach the players to pass the ball to players in the same colour shirt as the passing today was abysmal and this is not the first time this has happened this season

I honestly don't know.

Our bench today was embarrassing, what can BR do, other than believe in his methods and run our young players into the ground, week in week out. Playing Europa League and Premiership games.

Personally, I don't blame BR for the deddline day turmoil. Until I hear differently I will believe that financial prudence has taken precedence above all else to the detriment of the squad.

I won't hold my breath for an explanation to what happened, I will just expect some more spin from FSG's PR machine, or perhaps utter silence on the issue,

Such an inspiring performance last week against City to that showing this week, which was basically going back to square one under Hodgson two years ago.
