Who is the first name on your team sheet?

Pretty much all in the title. Who would you not have to even double think about when selecting a Liverpool team? Who for you is the most vital player and should be starting every game?

Mine is Joe Allen.

I will tell you why, and would be interested to know why your pick is your pick.

He never loses the ball. He understands Rodgers completely. He keeps everything ticking over and is always available to receive the ball. He is every team mates dream. An option always on. If our midfield trio were like Allen we would never concede possession. His defensive qualities are fantastic too! Always battling to get the ball back. A beaver defensively.

My favourite Allen moment yesterday was when he one two'd his way up the left hand side of the pitch using multiple players to combine the play and was able to get to the byline inside the box. MOTD only showed his failed cross attempt and not the move leading up to it which was the true highlight. If that doesn't do it for you, his retaining of the ball when under heavy pressure in the centre of the pitch is incredible. He is only 5'6" but plays like a giant.

Over to you!

Joe Allen.

Even ahead of Lucas and Suarez and I wouldn't even have Gerrard in my starting xi at the moment (I've been saying this all season).

Although my first choice midfield would be Sahin, Lucas and Gerrard giving Sahin license to get forward.

Eh, Fred that makes no sense, the first player you would pick would be Allen but your 1st choice midfield doesn't include him?

Woops that should read Allen - Sahin - Lucas
