"A report published by the IFSC (International Football Statistics Committee) shows Manchester United are given on average 5 minutes of stoppage time when they are losing at the end of 90 minutes, compared to just 2 minutes when they are winning."

Am I being paranoid?
Losing 2-1 yesterday, get 5 mins. extra and win 2-3

Not paranoid, just stupid.
Have you compared these stats with every other team in the league or just United? Can you post a link to this report? Frankly, I don't believe those stats but in any case they are meaningless without those comparisons.
Also, United scored in the second minute of stoppage time so we would have won the match even if only 2 minutes of stoppage time had been awarded, rather than 5. This destroys your whole argument, frankly.
The bottom line is this:
"It is funny then that whenever there is any research done into this Fergie time myth, we tend to come further down the list than the other big clubs. Odd that. "
I.e. whenever we actually research this stuff all the ABU carp is proved to be nonsense. It isn't a coincidence that these anti-United stats seem to be unearthed (but never backed up) by anti-United idiots. Whenever we follow up on this research the information always shows that United are not given anything like special treatment.
I.e. jog on.

I don't particularly like this article but United fans seem to missing out the 5 minutes ON AVERAGE part.

And Arsenal fans appear to be missing ANY information to back up their accusations.
Or are we just supposed to take your word for this?

The phenomenon of fergie time is quantifiable and well documented, it exists that's why it's called fergie time.

My God, all the thickos are out to play today aren't they?
There is a phenomenon whereby City fans are all bitter and sad. This is well documented and quantifiable - that's why they are called "bitters".
See what I did there?
Remember when you lot complained about the late Owen goal against City? Then MOTD PROVED that you were all a bunch of whining girls and that the amount of injury time was ACCURATE.
Please show us this quantifiable and well documented evidence that you have regarding Fergie time.
Moron.

Sorry to post multiple comments in a row but there are too many idiots here to respond to in one comment!

Redmisty - the city planks on here (all 5 of them) don't like being proved what drivel they write is well, bitter drivel! Each day it's the same ones posting united threads, you wouldn't guess they had won the title would you??! You'll never get the bitter hatred against united out of them......most can handle a bit of banter to be fair but 2 of them come across very angry all the time and always end the post in rag, which sums them up really

And when RVP scored his third goal the extra time meant that Southampton still had some time remaining in which to score themselves; they just failed to take advantage of it in the same way we did though!

30 seconds a sub, maximum 3 subs per team = at least 3 minutes injury time. Plus time added on for players diving, actual injuries, etc. All justified.
