Nadal out for another 2 month

Rafael Nadal has been ruled out for a further two months as he continues to struggle with a knee injury.
The 11-time major winner has not played since his shock second round exit to Czech Lukas Rosol at Wimbledon.
The Spanish left-hander has missed the Olympics and the US Open and will now miss much of the rest of the season.
"I really want to be back competing and enjoying the tennis tour, but I have many years in front of me and my knee needs some rest," he said.
Nadal, 26, will miss Spain's Davis Cup semi-final with the United States but could return for the final, if his country progress, and for the ATP World Tour Finals at London's O2 in November.
"I will be back when I have no pain and am able to compete with guarantee," he added on Twitter.
"I feel better after the meeting with my doctors and happy knowing that the evolution of the past weeks has been positive and surgery has been avoided. I will continue to work with the plan my doctors have established to be able to compete as soon as possible in the right conditions."

I was obviously mistaken in thinking when you started this article that you might be intersted in people engaging with you.

But, if you're just going to laugh at people's contributions then maybe people should just leave you to your own private echo chamber.

Vee-jay, if you don't like people offering their views, maybe an internet forum isn't the place for you.

Ok so let me get this straight, youre allowed to question my motive and call my suspicion negative but if I question your excuses because they arent backed up by any kind of credible link to support it,you suggest that this forum isnt the place for me

Why are you allowed to question me but Im not allowed to question you.Whats up with the double standard?

I have asked you several times to show me where i have bashed or been negative. All I did was set out to discuss this subject, but because you dont like the subject you deemed it negative without any proof

If you want to engage with me show me a link to support your theory that an athlete can play golf or part take in other strenuous exercises while rehabilitating a torn patella tendon otherwise how else can you expect me to take you seriously?
I will be waiting patiently

Vee jay, who said you can't question anything?

All you do though is be negative about anything you post about and then make comments like 'Im rolling on the floor here'.

If you just want to laugh at people's opinions that's fine, but then don't expect them to engage on your threads when all you do is take the mick and demand evidence.

I'm sure you'll find the Tenez's and nitb's of the world more than happy to join your thread and bash Nadal, i'll leave you to it.

Im still waiting for a credible link to confirm and support your theory
Im sure that if you could have you would have by now, which is why I laughed in the first place cause I knew it was nothing more then a lame excuse, but yet you expect me to believe you want to engage in debate with me
How do you expect me to take you seriously when youre taking the mickey by making things up?

There seems to be a difference of opinion.

What is obvious is that with a knee brace you can acutally take part in some 'sporting' activities.

The key part of Nadal's statement is 'partially'

Some are going on like the guy shouldn't be walking!

So is does Nadal have a partial patella tendon tear or does he have a patella tendon tear?
Is Nadal wearing a brace so he can jet ski, dive or play gold, there arent any pictures to suggest that he is or was at some point, unless I am missing something?

I know Nadal was seen doing water sport activities straight after Wimbledon, before the Olympics,.
The dr on the link you posted said, you wear a brace or cast which doesnt allow you to bend your leg at the knee,ie it stays fully flexed/stretched for 6 weeks. The progress must be slow for the tendon to heal, strengthening exercises should be delayed for at least 3 months
If this was truly the case, there would have been a clear time frame of how long Nadal would be off tour for,if he partially tore the patella tendon they would have know he would be off tour at least 3 months, yet his camp have been saying he may be back he may this week,he may be back that week...he didnt withdraw from the Olympics immediately or any other tournament, doesnt add up sorry

Rafael Nadal’s PR man, Benito Perez-Barbadillo, spoke to Italian
journalists at Flushing Meadows. He vented his frustrations with some
members of the press that spread false rumors about Rafa

The rumors, apparently, center around doping, and the reasons for
Rafa’s recent absence at the Olympics. “He spoke once about Contador and
all hell broke loose,” Barbadillo says. “When I told him what could
happen if he spoke about Contador, he replied that he didn’t care what
people thought of him."

Barbadillo goes on to say that fans in France and Italy prefer "Roger Federer’s tennis," and “that’s why they attack” Rafa.

(Thanks NITB)

Apparently he is threatening to sue anyone who spreads such rumours..gee I wonder why they never sued the French channel that aired those skits ..(??)
I hope someone calls his bluff...then we will see if he is a man of his word or not
