Watching the replay of Barca vs Valencia, can't believe Alex Song can stayed disciplined in his defensive position. It clearly shows that Wenger gave him freedom to do whatever he want both defensively and in the attack.

Wow. Shock horror. You mean to tell me that Alex Song wasn't bombing forward against Wenger's will all this time? What a surprise.
Exactly what I am thinking too.

Who cares about song anymore, average player
=======================================
You're so wrong there. Aside from the fact that for a long time his presence in the midfield was the difference between an Arsenal win and loss, your "Average player," doesn't work as hard as him these days. That man sweated buckets and worked his backside off for this team. Don't be dissin him now he's gone. I doubt it was his first choice but even if it was, at least he never made a public spectacle of leaving. Any fan of this club OWES Alex Song RESPECT!

he was a lazy good for nothing (on the Arsenal website he even admitted that he didn't train properly)

Maybe that was how he managed to have the energy to be almost everywhere on the pitch sometimes

Song was a hindrance for our team, always wanted him gone from the start of the summer, always thought we could do better.

Don't owe song jack
he got paid well for his lazy antics.
I even suspect he had his best season last year as he knew he'd be offski to barca and wanted to put himself in the shop window
wenger didn't even put up a fight to keep him which tells you all you need to know!!

Song was the difference between a loss and a win.
He was the very reason.
As for him working his socks off.

All I need to know is that for a long time at Arsenal, our midfield was just minced when he wasn't there to win the ball for them. I'm not saying you have to be sorry he's gone. Not saying we haven't now got/in the past there wasn't, better players in that position.
I'm just saying that after the amount of posts I've seen on 606 in the last 3-4 years, from Arsenal fans worried about the result because they knew Song wasn't playing so the whole midfield were just going to be bullied...
Any Arsenal fan OWES him the thanks for every game he was there and stopped that happening. I'm saying give him the credit and respect for what he did actually do. He deserves it

Yesterday showed how much better we are without Song in there.

What? You mean now we have Podolski, Giroud and the fiesty little Cazorla? Not to mention Steve Bould with his hands on the 1st team's defensive coaching????
Think you'll find that Song being gone is the smallest factor in how good we look without him.

You know what I meant.
If Song was here yesterday, he'd leave his post as per usual.
He is liability in there. Very undisciplined.
