My thoughts on yesterday

We were excellent in in every department yesterday it has been a long long time since we were that solid in a big game where i thought , hey i don't think we are going to concede here. It looks as tho finally we are doing alot of defensive drills in training with Bouldy , just look so much better handling set pieces. Diaby was imense, never doubted the guys ability just consistency hope he keeps it up and importantly stays fit because he really is a great player. With Wilshere on his way back could Wengers decision of not buying a dm/cm be paying off?.

Cazorla, what can i say just unbelievable, the guy has everything you would want from a footballer, skill, vision, two great feet, pace to get away from a opo player what a signing from Arsene. Also have to mention the likes of Jenkinson, a few shaky moment in the beginning but really grew as the game went on and he looked alot more composed than he has been looking. Giroud looks good, id be more worried if he wasn't getting in the positions to score but he is, he can bully defenders and im sure the goals will come for him. As for Poldi, well i've seen loads of him from his German football days and national team to know that when given a chance at goal he will take it, lethal finisher and can play to.

Alot of positives, i know we are only three games in but we look to be getting things right especially at the back. This time last season we were conceding left right and centre. I suppose the only annoying thing at the moment is the international break, always a risk of injuries to our players and our momentum being disrupted but lets hope that isn't the case and we keep pushing on when the PL resumes in two weeks.
