When you say a better all-round performance, do you mean as compared to the Burton match?

Seriously though, I'd be interested to know which posts in particular you consider unacceptable, even while I completely agree that calling for his head now (or even before the end of the season) would do no good at all.

Saturday's performance typifies the championship. Not a great deal of clear cut chances but we dug out a result.

What was satisfying was that we were the better team against the in form side at the start of the season and if we carry on like this then we'll win more games 1-0 than we'll lose.

Say what you like about Pearson but we've started this season with some very promising performances - we just need to make sure we turn them in to points.

On that note, I am still slightly concerned by the lack of clear cut chances we create. Dyer does a job but doesn't seem to put in a killer pass and Marshall (as talented as he is) isn't a winger in my book.

So, promising start but still lots to work on.

On another note, how good is it to have the real Andy King back and firing on all cylinders.
