Apparently, Cristiano's concerned with R.Madrid's lack of investment in the transfer window and with the direction the club's taking.
After Madrid's poor start to the season, Cristiano was worried about their chances of retaining the Liga title and winning the CL should the star winger be injured or need a rest, whereby he reportedly asked Madrid to put in a 150M bid to sign Barça's Lionel Messi as bench cover for him.
Another cause for concern is the fact his current contract only runs until 2015, and the underpant advert superstar had offered to negotiate an extension starting at just a 60% increase on his current wage terms.

Just on my above point, Gerrard has often said he played with injections when injured, have to admire him for that.

There's a perfectly valid explanation for that, it''s for creating a team ethos. Running to embrace the player who scored the goal promotes individualism, but the goal is actually the result of a team effort.
Ronaldo actually proposed that players should embrace each others in pairs, but there were two problems:
1. the fans would be confused as to what direction to shout in
2. the fact there are 11 players on the team would always leave one out and feeling unloved
Therefore, after lengthy though he decided it was better for the team to have a fixed point to focus on.
He didn't intend it to be himself, but he realised that the shine his hair gel puts on his head makes him a beacon that's easy to pick out in the confusion that often ensues after a goal is scored.
You Barça fans, always looking to cause trouble.

Sorry, the quoted bit at the beginning should've read:
"Whenever Real scores a goal, all the players must run towards me."

So how do Ronaldo and Mourinho decide who the camera focuses on when a goal is scored? Do they focus on everyone surrounding Ronaldo or do they zoom in on Mourinho's definitely unprepared facial expressions?

Mourinho's got to run out of the dugout and hug CR too. He is only dispensed from doing this if he's busy poking someone in the eye.

What if he has been sent to the naughty step?
We need to consider all the possibilities.
