Morning all,
Just back from Cork and thought I would update how we got on. I know there are a couple more articles on this but thought i would start a new one so everyone can see it.
I thought first half we played really well. Players that stood out for me Redmound, Mutch and Rooney.
I wasn't expecting much from Rooney but he was a lot bigger than I thought and he put in a really good shift. He worked hard for the team and got a nice poachers goal.
Redmound look dangerous every time he had the ball and worked well with Carr and he put in some good crosses, which is an improvment from last season for him.
Mutch controlled the game from central midfield and his passing looked great.
As for Gomis, he played ok first half but was awful second half on the left wing. He looks powerful but his passing didn't look to good, he will need to improve. I won't write him off after one game though.
Thought that Kerr looked decent second half and think he could play a couple of games next season espically in the cup.
Wasn't the best game of I have ever seen but never expect to much from friendly's. I remember when we went to Austria a couple of years back and lost every game and then got promoted, so I never read to much into friendly's.
All in all had a great weekend, meet some great people and had a lot of laughs.
Roll on Hereford!

Ah, I thought Derbyshire was a free. According to Wikipedia (oh so reliable) he's a free agent.
Pantsil seemed a good shout as RB cover. Kyle Walker on loan? Might be after bigger things but depends on if Spurs give him a chance this season.

Wikipedia does say that
Unless he has agreed a mutral release of his contract, like we did with De Ridder.
Then there is no excuse not to go for Derbyshire offer him say £10K a week that will double if promoted.
He did sign from Blackburn to Olympiacos for 3M Euros and signed a 4 year deal.
His Record was not bad for Olympiacos dont know why they dont want him.

Yep, problem is Wikipedia says what you want it to say.
£10k and a decent goal/promotion bonus should be enough to tempt him if the whole McLeish experience hasnt left him with a vendetta against Birmingham.

Ive read several times that Derbyshire is a totally free agent
Pantsil was good a few seasons ago at Fulham, decent rb i think but then so is Onunuha ?? who can play both c/b and r/b. What happened to Clyne?
Puncheon and Koumas would do us nicely thankyou very much

Onuoha would be excellent if we was still in the prem. Would he consider a move to us? Doubt it. Possibly on loan. Clyne seems to have gone a bit stale, the links not player. Would still be a great move and possible. I would imagine he'd command a hefty (for the champ) transfer fee though and may have his sights set a bit higher than us.

A few clubs are after Clyne for £2M

Ah, proved wrong yet again. £2m would be a steal if reports are to be believed. I still think Carr will do a job for us next season but who have we got to take the reins next season or if Carr is injured?

*season after next

Clearly we need to spend money to survive in the long term, I am hoping this black hole we are in right now ends soon.
We were in for Clyne last season but it didnt happen, 2M is peanuts for the 74% of what we have left as owners... why are they waiting!!!

Thats not to say he would go for £2M they rejected £2.5M from us as they wanted about £4-5M
Newcastle are linked with a £2M offer, as of yet i dont think nothings been done about it i.e so simular to the Liverpool interest in Dann.
