1 - Obviously that player would be in their prime and any position on the pitch
2 - what reason?
3 - who would they replace in the starting 11 or squad?
For me Gazza. We have been crying out for a player such as him for years. He could score, create, tackle and inspire. The nearest we have come to him in very recent times would have been an amalgamation of Modric and VDV.
He'd probably replace Sig. Not that he's bad but he plays in that CAM role.
Any ideas?

Greaves, we need somone who scores goals - I never saw him play, he was well beofre my time ...but the stats dont lie, and when it comes to scoring goals he is probably the best goal scorer we have ever seen at the Lane, even better than Grzegorz Rasiak!!

Clive Allen, would a good choice if he could replicate his feat of season 1986-87 season when he scored 49 goals in all competitions.....................which is still a record in the top division!

oddiY..............Seen some great goalscorers at Spurs......................Smith, Gilzean, Chivers, Allen, Lineker, Klinsmann, Sheringham, Berbatov etc................none of them compared to James Peter Greaves!

J.P.B......................................Yes visited Tofino on the Island but did not get to go on the Denver/Grand Junction train as they were limiting it because of the big fires they had out there.
A large part of our time was spent in the Rockies at Jasper & Banff, which was brilliant.
Tend to go out there every 3-4 years....................another favourite island(s) of mine is New Zealand, have you been there?

Genius, i think he has the highest scoring average Goals/Starts of any Spurs player ..i might have made that stat up though.
Looking at your list never ceases to amaze me the quality of the players we have had ...Im first to accept we arent the biggest ever football club, we havent won the most cups or leagues or even payed the highest wages - but we have had some fantastic players and some of the most exciting talent at our place. Must be something to do with the history and tradition, and irresistible style of football of course
