The term 'big club' is an players dream (which incidentally is another excellent vague term lol).

Any club can be defined as a 'big club' without installing a context. In many respects, Fenerbahce are a HUGE club, in many other ways, they're not. And it's funny that so many people get sucked into believing their definition of 'big club' is THE definition

its when people go on about how history makes a big club, but surely for players big clubs are those that are winning things now just because that is what will affect their playing careers more. you need the immediate history to be considered a big club currently

Liverpool still have some aura about them though if they continue as they are it will diminish over time. I know how important trophies are, but presumably footballers are like some of the rest of us and get job satisfaction maybe from a lesser club or a lesser paid job where they feel comfortable like Matt Le Tissier.
