I'm very excited by him.

To make your debut at 17 and to be a regular starter for your side at 18 is quite an achievement. I know it's only the Chilean league but still, it's quite something.

His goal-scoring record was better than a goal every game for Universidad and he's scored for Chile at every level including U-15s, U-17s, U-20s and U-23s and scored 14 goals in 9 U-20 appearances.

I don't think he'll get much game time if any for the first time this season except for maybe an appearance or two in the League Cup. He'll be limited to mostly U-21 games this season.

Didn't he agree some sort of pre-contract, it was just a case of waiting for him to be ready for the move..??

Probably some reverve football with a CC apperance or two.

We play Stalybridge Celtic in a friendly next Tuesday but don't play our next competitive game until 20th September which is against Bury in the Manchester Senior Cup.

My only worry is that unless people like Macheda, Bebe etc go out on loan he may not be able to get into the team as both the first team and reserves squads are overloaded with players

I don't think there'll be any danger of him not playing for the U-21s, even with Macheda and Bebe still being at the club.

Macheda seems to be really down the pecking order because even Josh King seems to be ahead of him in the reserves which isn't a surprise really. I think King is a decent player myself.

Henriquez I think will go straight into the U-21s starting line up or at least be on the bench for the games against Stalybridge Celtic or if not, definitely Bury.

Apparently King is threatening to leave in January if he doesnt get "more first team playing time".

I wasnt aware he was getting any.

What is with this attitude by our young players over the past year or two??
