What does everyone think of the positive light in which many neutrals still baffling seem to view Kean? I've just read through some of the comments on the BBC website about him not bothering to watch players before we sign them and the amount of people sticking up for him has got to the point of mild nausea for me now.
When he was plummeting us down the PL in 10/11 I found the national defence of him very irritating, when it happened again in 11/12 I started finding the insanity of it quite funny. But for people to still defend him now makes me a feel a kind of numb despair that football fans, a group I used to feel something in common with, can actually be that easily manipulated and basically moronic.
Have we as Rovers fans ever angrily defended a **** opposition manager because he seemed nice? I don't think so, certainly gonna make sure I never do after being on the receiving end of such pathetic ignorance.
Opposition fans on Kean

Is calling a spade a spade having a negative attitude rfik? If all venkys and kean had to do was stick around long enough for our support to get bored of criticising them then actually they've played this out perfectly, and we'd be sending the message that all future idiots involved in rovers should do the same. I'm pretty sure if we got promoted the vast majority would be happy, most fans just don't think this performances-wise shakey start to the season as clear evidence that it will happen. Maybe you do and that's the difference.

Owl in peace, ive commented before regarding this unfortunate situation you fans are in, just wanted to say that I'm completely against what is happening at your club, Kean not seeing two of his new signings for me just epitimises what a poor manager he is, what manager in their own right mind signs players just because a "global advisor" says they are good players, you see for yourself first!!
As you all know we had over 10+ years of mismanagment at Hillsborough, so I too feel your pain. Our many past managers were nowehere near as bad as Kean but no matter what us fans did to get the dinosaurs that were ruining our club out, they never listened sadly for us, but it took the dawn of administration to get things right again & we have now, in my opinion, a great chairman, who is both business and football driven which I think is the perfect combination for a football club owner/chairman. I pray that your great club can one day have the right people in charge and do things the right way. Really hope things work out in the end...hopefully with a decent owner/s and a manager with some nouse and common sense!!

The Rovers fan down here is a little miserable with his lot, but then he watches Folkestone Invicta too! To be fair to them they're doing well so far.
Northern folk are never happy unless they have something to moan about, as I'm constantly being told at work, and being a Barnsley fan I know this all too well... We lose and you'll get 50-60+ comments on a local news site complaining, we win and this goes down to 25-30 comments.
Granted, you guys have a lot to moan about lately, and I hope it does get resolved ASAP.

Well personally I'm not moaning because I'm a moaner. I was a huge fan of Allardyce, a huge fan of Souness, I think Pedersen has overall been a very good player for us over the years, Roberts was a good impact sub, even Andrews could do a limited job.
I'm positive about anything that warrants a shred of a positivity. Unfortunately Venkys and Kean have been nothing but a disaster so far for Rovers. If they make some steps to repairing their reputation this season, I'll stop criticising them. But 4 half-decent results certainly doesn't qualify for me.

As a fan in exile I'm not sure you'll get the same level of passion rfik. Incidents like Kean stating that a fan spiked his drink are felt more by those in and around Blackburn. More of your life feels attached to the club and spirit (good or bad) spreads thru the workplace, pubs, newsagents etc.

Super Harry, are you sure it's not me your talking about as I go and watch Folkestone too!
Pie I am not happy about Kean etc but what else can we do?
Vote with your feet at Ewood is the only answer and 10,000 plus have done that. Whinging and moaning won't get rid of Venky's or worse Kean.
That is easy for me to do living so far away and I will probably get to more games this season than in the PL.
It could be worse, we could support Rangers or worse B*****y

You never know... Folkestone does attract a few Northern exiles. There's a another Barnsley fella and Sheffield United fan that I know of. We get about a bit us Northern types eh/
I shall keep my eye out for you on Saturday if you're there Rfik! I go as often as I can with me only living just past the traffic lights at the Harvey, but with it being a cup game I shall be there.
I do feel for you guys at Blackburn, you have a manager who knows that he can pretty much get away with anything he wants as he won't be fired, and owners who live thousands of miles away so they don't have to cop the flack directly. the gaffer will tell them what they want to hear as they don't know any different and then gets his mates on to the board to give him some stability. To blame the fans for getting his drink spiked is arrogant, disrespectful and basically sticking his rods up and saying that he'll say and do what he wants as you're stuck with him. But, having said that, you guys haven't made a bad start to the season and keep it up and you'll be out this division in no time. Problem is, you'll have someone who will be filled with grandeur at his own brilliance and will think he's better than Mourinho and Fergie put together.... If he doesn't already.
At some point this will all end. Hopefully the sooner the better eh?

Superharyy, will try to be there with my 10 year old son, if not you have to try the home made carrot cake and coffee at the stripes bar.

I'll keep that in mind, I occasionally hang around the Stripes after the midweek games when the left over grub comes round, but I should be there quite early tomorrow so I'll definitely have a try of the carrot cake.
You'll spot me a mile off... Barnsley shirt and ginger hair! (I'm well aware I haven't had a good start in life!!)

.....you could always dye the hair! Hopefully will be there and go and buy the cake at full price at half time!
