Just seen an update on the Blues site that Michael Wiseman has accepted a request to step down from the board although he will mantain a link with the club as honourary vice president.
More interestingly, Radio WM has speculated that his place will be taken by Peter Pannu (not currently on the board and - I think - Carson Yeung's son, Ryan.
Not quite sure what this means, but perhaps CY is attempting to maintain a presence via his son, should he be convicted.
Thoughts/ information??
Changes to the board.

Running a club is not easy.
I would say that a 25-30'000 selling Club on Prem Income would have to spend about £10M net on Transfers a season and Wage Bill of under £40M to maintain a profit.
Clubs who spend more than that will most likely be raking in debts.
Net spend i mean if you brought in 3X £10M players but sold 2 £5M thats a net spend of £20M, which for average club and average Wage Bill could mean £10M loss.

Maybe yeung should have thought of that before he came and bought the club eh banjo?
Aint rocket science mate and the sooner we get rid of this shower the better, i just worry where we might end up before we get rid of em.

There is a shift in opinion.
Over the last couple of weeks, as more news has come out about Yeung's debts and alledged crimes, most would be happy to see him pack up and go.
I'm one of those who's opinion has changed from some sort of support to outright disgust at the way he has managed the running of the club.
What did it for me was CY using the ground as an assert for loans.
How dare he ?
I can see a backlash against the board if things don't go too well on the pitch. Heads will roll.
Remember the 'Blue Revolution'
Could be mkII.

Well Pikey, I guess CY used the ground as assets for loans because he owned the club... that does give him some latitide.
I guess at the time he didnt have any idea that we would get relagated or that he would be arrested for money laundering... so he was playing the game, as these big business men do.
Living in cloud cuckoo land? apparently so, if the judgement goes against him he will have lots of time to reflect on where it all went wrong.
Thats life, sad but true and not only he will have to pay the price... but Blues too

I just don't get why they do these sort of things then not explain to the fans what the reason behind them is. They may have had him removed off the board for a very good reason which was in the clubs interests but without letting us know all types of rumours are going around.
Thats the old Chairman, Wiseman, The Acadamy manager plus various others of Yeungs cronies which have left with no explanation. I think something really could be going wrong and it seems Yeung and Pannu are just burying their heads in the sand saying nothings wrong.

I know, and agree, that the owner can offer the stadium as collateral.
What gets me is, he just did it.
If it wasn't for the Standard doing a bit of homework we would be none the wiser. Do you think Pannu would come out and say "by the way lads, we've put the stadium at risk by having a loan we potentially can't repay
"We were banking on staying in the Premier League, but d'you know what. AM lost the plot and got us relegated.
"And then, my friend Carson gets arrested for money laundering. Humph, would you believe it?"
****
At Blues, yes I would believe it.
To quote McJudas... "custodians"
That is all CY and the rest of them are, Custodians.
This is not roulette or poker or flippin 21's. Its an institution. Its History.
It's our club.

Actually, the announcement was that trading of shares was suspended. This was done at the request of the company, probably to protect the value of the shares.

Thats right KBM
I think thats why Yeung may had failed in the take over, did he really want to buy a Championship club
Funny how once Promoted he not only got the money but was happy to pay nearly double what the club was worth.
You see Yeung had a Plan.
1) Invest in the side to keep us in the Prem and push for Midtable, bringing in maybe some marque signings.
2) Market the Club in China, through various means, inc Shirt Sponspors/Manufacturer. Games to played in China, TV Deals and sign Chinese players for Marketing reasons.
The above would then hopfully over time establish Blues in China, and also attract investment from other would be Asian suiters.
Yeung never had the cash himself though so it would all be loans etc, i think maybe Yeung may have suffered a few blows.
1) That breaking China was going to take longer and be more harder than he thought.
2) Maybe he had some backers who said they would back him, who got cold feet and never backed him/brought into his idea.
So while in the Prem things could have been ok, that is apart from getting arrested.
The problem is i dont think Yeung was fully prepared for what would happen if we was relegated.
This season will be a real testing time for Yeung and come end of this season we should know for sure if we have any real future under Yeung.
