Over the last few years a fair share of Arsenal players, past and present, have felt the wrath of an unhappy fan base. Cole, adebayor, nasri, fabregas and now RVP to name but a few. Even the manager has been called into question for his 'reluctance' to buy the big names that every fan so craves.
But for me, the lack of silverware and the mentality shift in a domestically sound team of players falls on one man and one man alone.
When Henry left, he took with him everything that made the club winners. He left behind the pouts and knitted gloves, when perhaps he should have left behind his traits that made him such an important player to the club and let the young players flourish under the guidance he'd laid out.
Was he selfish? He can't have been, he came back? Well on his return he only put in 25% of the effort, scoring just once in four league appearances for a club who'd put their faith behind him, again.
For me the real heros are your Van Persies and Adebayors, whose departures were designed to give the fans what they were asking for, signings and the money to make them happen. Henry's motive were less geared to giving back to the fans, which is why he should be held moe accountable.
Is Thierry the real villain?

Vieira was the first high profile departure, Cole started the whole contract greed thing. If you're looking to blame anyone think this again. Henry scored 3 times on his return aswell
