I'd like to know your thoughts on Jordon Rhodes electing to play for Scotland and not England, surely with the dearth in quality strikers that England currently have he would be perfect to being fast tracked into the full national team.
What a lot you of probably don't know is that Rhodes was brought up in Scotland for 5 years as his Dad had a stint in Scottish football. Rhodes has recently said he considers himself Scottish and has committed himself to playing for Scotland. On his debut he even sang Flower of Scotland which shows how passionate he is about Scotland.
Matt Philips is another rising English player with great potential to choose to play for Scotland even though Stuart Pearse came out and said he has the potential to be one of the best players England have seen in a decade and said he has a place the his under 21s if he wants it.
I would just like your thoughts if you are worried this trend will continue with players choosing the more illustrious Scotland over England.
English talent jumping ship.

yes we're gutted that we've lost a championship winger and a then league 1 striker.
you must feel disappointed that you have to approach english players with scottish descendants rather than producing your pure blood scots in order to compete on the international stage.

Not exactly jumping ship seeing as they were never called up for england. Two players unproven lads taking what they can get.

England will always have more depth than us so i doubt they'll be too bothered.
Not sure about Phillips but Rhodes will be a top player. Definitely be in the EPL within a year or two and no doubt still be banging them in.

Rhodes has supported Scotland all his life and would've played for us anyway.
