13 unbeaten away from home in Qualifiers

After last nights 2-1 away win to Kazakhstan Ireland are now actually unbeaten away from home in Qualifiers (WC & Euro) stretching all the way back to a 1-0 defeat in the Czech Republic in September 2007!!

Thats 5 years. Which is a very impressive record.

In fact we have never lost away from home in a Qualifier under Trapatonni.

But i supposse the way things are at the moment that proud record will surely not last in the current qualifying campaign!!

The only redeeming feature of Trapatonnis reign (besides the fact he got us to the Euro Finals obviously) has been the fact that we have always gone and done the business against the lowest seeded sides in our group.

And while last nights display was a disgrace and an embarrasement remember too that the mighty Portugal struggled to beat Luxembourg who are arguably worse than Kazakhstan last night!!

That's a very impressive away record for a country like ours. Nevertheless, the Irish public are sick of Trap and he has to go!
