Will FFP help the smaller clubs

So the Premier league Board are looking into bring some form of FFP into play for the all clubs playing in the Premier League.

The way I see it is if that happens you can kiss goodbye to any chance your team has of ever trying to compete with the bigger clubs of the Premier Legue. Do you really think anyone who has loads of money will ever want to take over your club, if the Premier League is going to tell them how they should or should not spend their own money. They will never bother with your small club, because that is what they will see it as.

Why is it that all of a sudden since both Man City & Chelsea have come onto the scene and started to spend alot of money that the likes of Man UTD., Arsenal and LIverpool have started to complain . It is only because they see them as stopping theirway of always staying in the top 4. So you should be urging your club to vote no if and when there is a vote for bringing in FFP.

We'll find out soon enough if we're paying any of Ade's wages because he won't be allowed to play against us if we are.

"It won't just help smaller clubs in the Premier
league it'll make it so that promoted clubs won't
be dead certs to go back down."

wrong on 2 counts, the old top 4 will be reinstated as the major earners via TV and CL money while the rest feed off the crumbs. How does this help newly promoted teams?
You also make an assumption that every promoted team is a dead cert to go back down. I think Stoke, West Brom and QPR fans may disagree with you there.

The same West Brom who are on their 4th promotion in the last decade? If they could compete with teams who were run within their means instead of at a huge loss maybe they wouldn't be such a yo yo team. QPR have managed 1 season in the premier league since the mid 90s and they only fluked staying up on goal difference after getting bought up by a billionaire. The only decent example is stoke who stay in the premier league by being a well run club with great support. Exactly what FFP would be aiming for.

Stoke are in the PL because Peter Coates invested £70m of his own money on new players.

Which he's perfectly within his rights to do at the minute. What he didn't do was invest a massive sum then take the wage bill up to twice the turnover.

I don't think any club has ever taken their wage bill to twice it's turnover.

Nobody has yet but wait until all the players you've bought come to re-negotiate their contracts at the same time.

Even if we paid every member of our squad £200k a week it wouldn't exceed our predicted turnover for last year.

no, FFP makes sure small(er) clubs will never, never, ever be able to compete with the clubs currently at the top.

It's sole purpose is permenantly keep the biggest clubs at the top. Forever.

typical rags, even if something is not true idiots like thunderkiss try to build an arguement around what might hypothetically happen when their original daft point is shown to be wrong.
