Seems to be a lot of strong opinions either way re Murray/Djokovic right now, so I thought I would bring some balance.
I'm a big fan of Nole's not just for his recent achievements but for his character, the fact he can applaud an opponent's good shot, that he can berate himself and then completely refocus and that he has done his best to break through to the top level.
I'm also a fan of Murray, basically because he;s British and tennis-wise he is the best player we have produce, certainly in the last 60 years, and he also is trying his best to break through to the next level.
If you look at it, with Murray's ranking of 4, he is actually over-achieveing in reaching Slam finals, but has made them twice this year and I think that will now start to take his ranking even higher.
Nole conversely has dipped this year from his great form of last year, but seems to be in good form here at the US whilst to be honest, Andy has not been firing on all cylinders, but has found a way to win through each time, a crucial quality.
Nole has to start tonight as the bookies favourite, but Andy's 2 appearances at Wimbledon recently will give him a certain je ne sais quoin.
The Wimbledon Final loss taught him he can live with the best, beat, he just needed to fine tune.
The Olympics Gold proved that previous losses didn't faze hime and that he learnt from previous experience.
Very very hard to call tonight's match, I wish both men good luck but in my heart of hearts I want Andy to win and round off what has been the summer sport of a lifetime for us here in Britain.
A little bit of balance

Hi Jonty, good to see a balanced view. This site attracts a lot of children unfortunately due to loose modding. Part of the reason that I joined on day one but rarely post!
I'm looking forward to tonight's match and if Andy loses he should still be proud of what he has achieved this year, which is 2 consecutive grand slam finals and Olympic Gold against one of the all time greats on grass.
If I had to call it I would say The Djoker to win in 5 although I'll be firmly placed in Andys corner once it begins!

Cheers Bristol, I'll be rooting for Andy in this match.
Hoping he's timed it right to start firing on all cylinders, should be a cracker!

Well said Jonty,
people forget Andys ranking only seeds him to the Semis. So what a fantastic record he has, now to go one step further.
I really haven't been able to think about anthing else in the last 48hrs.
Come on Andy!!!!!!!
